Payment and Refund Policy
All quoted fees are valid for 14 days. If no action is taken within this period your quote will be become invalid unless otherwise agreed by either party in writing.
Our online Quote & Order form is based on the estimate of value you provide. We reserve the right to amend a Quote should this estimate differ substantially from the valuer's estimate or figures. In such circumstances, you will be informed immediately this becomes apparent to the valuer. You will have the option to cancel the valuation instruction or accept any additional fees. If you accept then these will be invoiced to you.
Please refer to our Customer Cancellation and Refund Policy below if you decide not accept additional fees.
Unless otherwise agreed in writing, all valuation instructions are processed upon receipt of cleared funds. Payment of professional valuation fees less than $5,000 must be made in advance, and professional valuation fees in excess of $5,000 require a 50 percent payment of the total fee in advance.
Payment for professional valuation fees can be made using the following methods:
*Credit Card over Internet (preferred method for valuation instructions using our online Quote & Order form)
Credit Card over the Phone
Cash upon Inspection
Cheque or Money Order
*Only our online Quote & Order form (Step 5) provides the option of 'Credit Card payment over Internet' through the NAB 'National Secure Internet Payment Service link when you select the payment method 'Credit Card over Internet'.
For all valuation instructions not made through our online Quote & Order form, our tax invoice will be emailed to you once the valuation instruction has been processed. This tax invoice will also list payment options.
Please note that some payment options may take several days to clear. To expediate other online payments, please email notification of payment already made or other remittance notification to firstname.lastname@example.org.
Unless otherwise agreed, the person instructing the valuation is responsible for the full payment of the professional valuation fees.
Once payment has been received, our tax invoice marked paid will be emailed along with the valuation report once completed.
Valuer Cancellation Policy
We reserve the right to cancel a valuation instruction at any time, and for any reason. You will be notified immediately should this occur.
Customer Cancellation and Refund Policy
If you have made a credit card payment through the NAB 'National Secure Internet Payment Service' from our webiste, and have done this in complete error, then you are entitled to an immediate refund of the fees paid (less a $33 administration charge). This charge includes processing and handling, as well as merchant facility banking fees. This must be done immediately, and no later than 30 minutes from the time of that credit card payment. Please see the last paragraph below on how to cancel a valuation instruction.
Our standard procedure once any valuation instruction has been processed is to assign the valuation instruction to a property valuer. Unless otherwise agreed in writing, once payment of the valuation fee has been made, the property valuer will commence the valuation process including arranging access, field sheets, sales information and other necessary documents required for the valuation.
For standard residential valuation instructions (residential valuation fees up to $880):- You are entitled to a refund of the fees paid (less a cancellation fee of $110), if the valuation instruction is cancelled before the property valuer books the valuation inspection (you will be notified by email once this has occurred). You are not entitled to a refund once the property has been inspected by the property valuer.
For all other valuation instructions:- You are entitled to a refund of the fees paid (less a cancellation fee of $220), if the valuation instruction is cancelled before the property valuer books the valuation inspection (you will be notified by email once this has occurred). You are entitled to a 50% refund of the fees paid (less a cancellation fee of $220), if you cancel the valuation instruction within a 24 hour period after the property valuer has inspected the property. You are not entitled to a refund after this period.
Subject to these conditions you may cancel your valuation instruction at any time by selecting 'Click here to Cancel' using the cancel link of an online order completed through our Quote & Order form, calling and speaking to the valuer directly, or sending a 'cancel valuation instruction' email to email@example.com.
